Forty-Two.
Yes, its all about Forty-Two, good ol' Six times Seven. My question however is, 'so why did it take Deep Thought 6 1/2 million years to find that one out'? - answers to Megadodo Publications, Simian City, Ursa Minor Beta.
Hi and welcome to my homepage, well those of you who know me, and to all my watchers, I am currently working on the 'Star Trek: Starship Encyclopedia'. This grandiose titled project is basically a reference library of the ships and space facilities that have appeared in this long-running franchise. The project is seperated into five sections: 1. Comparison Charts, 2. Key Location Cutaways, 3. Master Systems Displays, 4. Orthographic Animations and 5. Vessel Databases. Each section is further sub-divided into 1. Small Vessels (i.e. Shuttles, personal vessels etc under 50 meters in length), 2. Starships (anything over 50 meters) and 3. Stations (or more accurately Space Facilities). Paste-ups are a little disorganised due to a recent virus attack which trashed the majority of my previously completed work, but please stick with me, you won't be disappointed!
About my style, as you can see its Space/Sci-fi/Night Club orientated. Space for me (and many many others) is fascinating, I'd love to know what's out there; are we alone, or is the universe full of other races asking "are we alone" and "where's a good place to eat?" Sci-Fi, well what can I say, great escapism, my main interest lies in Star Trek, but I do like Babylon 5/Crusade, Stargate (all series) and Farscape. Up until the end of 2008, I was involved with a great Trance music nightclub called "Infinity". Infinity as such started in 2000, when Trance was huge, it used to pack 'em in over in Ibiza (and others). My last girlfriend Melanie, and I decided we wanted to have somewhere to go - locally, so with a bunch of friends, we formed 'TimeGate', this name lasted until 2006 when we decided to change our name to 'Infinity'. Oh we started out with 20, but by the end we had 900 on our books!
I have also completed some work for my good friend LeonaWriter, (please see her homepage for more info). She's the one who introduced me to DA in the first place, and I am eternally greatful for her support (and wisdom) in this undertaking. She is heavily into the Manga/Anime thing, and one day showed me a pic of a character called Krad in this series called "DNAngel". Well Krad has has a long pony-tail with a cross attached to the end, which floats! Well, wanting to know how it did this, I completed a Star Trek style "Krad's Levitating Cross" MSD (Master Systems Display) to explain just that, LeonaWriter's respose was a true Star Trek classic, a Spock like raised eyebrow!
My other great passion is Aviation (my local airport is London-Heathrow - the world's busiest International), I'm one of the photographers who semi-regularily attends the place (when) we get some decent weather in these parts of the UK - which isn't that often! My interest started when as a young kid I was taken to the Farnborough International airshow, and I was hooked! Having grown up in Wimbledon, which is on the flightpath to/from Heathrow I soon developed a passion for airlines and airliners. Saying that, I still go to Airshows in this country, which feature in my photo collections. Favourites such as the bi-annual Farnborough International, the annual Biggin Hill International Air Fair, various IWM Duxford airshows, Eastbourne 'Airbourne', just to name four.
Feel free to leave a comment (or two), would like to hear from any of you like minded!
